A natural touch for your bathroom
Real sponge is an ancient, simple life form that grows on the bottom of all oceans, and which happens to be very suitable for washing with.

A natural sponge is a simple form of life found at the bottom of all oceans. In the sea, the sponge acts as a filter. It pumps water through itself, and in this way a sponge obtains nutrition (like plankton). There are more than 7,500 different varieties, of which only 6 are suitable for sale. Some grow over 3 meters high! Depending on the temperature, depth, and current, a sponge needs six months to five years to grow.

Natural sponges are wonderfully soft for the skin, can absorb a lot of water and easily release that water again (by squeezing them). The fibers of a sponge are very similar to silk, and sponges have been used by people to wash themselves for ages. A synthetic sponge has closed air bubbles, while with a natural sponge all channels have an exit and through which dirt is easily removed. A natural sponge is therefore very hygienic and recommended for people with allergies or sensitive skin.

NB: a natural sponge should not come into contact with boiling water. If it is necessary to wash the sponge, you can do that in the washing machine (in a laundry bag) on the wool program.
The cell material is dissolved and rinsed out by means of a process called mazeration. The sponge skeleton obtained in this way is very suitable as a bath sponge due to its great suction power

Diameter: 12 cm

Bamboo is a type of grass that grows super fast compared to trees.

After cutting down the bamboo, the plant grows back in 90 days to a tree of 30 meters high.

In addition, the plant produces an anti-bacterial substance itself, so that no pesticides are needed.

When the bamboo is harvested, the roots remain. This ensures that the land is protected against erosion.

For the rest, almost everything from the plant can be used, so it produces little waste.

And everything made from bamboo is of course biodegradable.

A perfect alternative to cutting down trees from primary forests and rainforests.
