About Pure Coffee:
Pure coffee offers motivated (former) inmates opportunities by learning a real craft. In our prison distillery and in our stores they get a fair chance of a successful return to society.
Our goal is to help resocialize and reintegrate. This greatly reduces the risk of recidivism (now 47%). Having a job, or an increased chance of it, makes a significant difference to a successful return to society. We want to change at least 500 lives with our 100% organic and fair trade coffee.
“It's not once a criminal, always a criminal. The past doesn't define who you are, what you do with it says everything.” Founder Jemuel Lampe came into contact with the police and the judiciary at a young age, he found his salvation and future in coffee 20 years ago. With this social enterprise, Jemuel wants to give something back to society.
We give (former) detainees a fair start when they return to society. Life changing coffee!
